The certification class will be led by Executive Bourbon Stewards Charles Wilkerson and Troy Selberg from Whiskey Tango Charlie. They will be teaching the Certified Bourbon Steward (level 1) course. This is the only course/certification that is endorsed by the Kentucky Distillers Association, and is recognized as THE bourbon education course in the industry. Upon successful completion of this course and the accompanying test, you will achieve the Certified Bourbon Steward designation, and will receive your membership and pin from the Stave & Thief Society in Louisville, KY.

All participants will receive a textbook & online certification test code, taste a flight of bourbon from Seven Jars Distillery, and learn the basics of bourbon production, from grain to final product…as well as a historical review of this quintessential American spirit. Participants will also be able to observe fermentation and distilling in process at the distillery.
